What are your views on the unreasonable cut offs at DU???? (Discussion)

Well every year we hear and read about the outrageous cut offs at DU which are getting unrealistic to achieve day by day.Often we hear of people who get above a 90% but still dont get a college or course of their choice….moreover with the increase in reservations for the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes the competition has got tougher…..not to forget the influx of students from the rest of the country making admissions even tougher for delhites!!!So looking at last years statistics wat do you think will the cut off dis year be like n what r ure views on this issue?????

what has come as a rude shock is the decision to terminate the English entrance exams; as for the percentage, am not surprised.

I guess it has a lot to do with the demand for seats. The number of student applicants keeps increasing year on year. I guess, it’s about time that the overall no. of seats are increased.

I guess the cut offs for this year would be a tad relaxed – given the talk of an increase in the number of seats. What courses are you looking for? Where do you think are the cut offs most unjustified?
