HOW TO APPLY TO KAMLA NEHRU COLLEGE?

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Aspirants can buy the KNC application form from the college premises or fill up the Delhi University common admission form. The sale and receipt of the forms will last on for a fortnight starting the 1st of June. The application forms can be submitted only between 10.00am to 1.00pm on the decided dates as notified by the college authorities. After the cut offs are declared, the admission is strictly based on the first come first served basis.

The necessary requirements are listed as follows:

The candidate must be of 17 years as on the 1st of October 2009 and not more than 19 years. For SC/ST the age limit is set at 20.
The applicant must have passed the Central Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent.
The calculated aggregate for admission must include English with other three elective subjects
Foreign students seeking admission are to get in touch with Foreign Students' Registrar, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.

RESERVED CATEGORIES:
SCHEDULED CASTE/SCHEDULED TRIBE:
Candidates seeking admission through the reserved category quota are to have themselves registered with the University office. Thereafter, they are to fill up admission forms and state clearly on the admission form that they belong to the reserved category. In addition to this, the candidate is required to submit a certificate issued by the Principal of the last institution attended proclaiming that the candidate availed the benefits given to the SC/ST category. Also, the candidate is to submit a certificate issued by the appropriate authority stating that he/she belongs to the reserved category.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
Once the student has been selected for admission, the following list of documents is to be submitted (Original and attested):

Date of birth certificate or secondary school or equivalent examination certificate clearly stating the date of birth
Original mark sheet issued by the board or university
Character certificate issued by the school last attended
Passport size photographs with the admission form and one at the time of enrolment
Reserved category certificate wherever applicable.
Foreign students seeking admission have to submit a copy of passport and visa issued by the authorised authority.

All colleges in Delhi University start with the admission procedure on the 1st of June and goes on until the month end. Last year, the last date of the form submission was 16th June and the first cut off list was declared on the 26th of June. Subsequently, the second cut off list is by the 1st of July. Classes for all courses begin from the 16th of July.
