This college was founded in 1961 under Trimula Tirupati Devasthana Trust. The foundation stone was laid by the former President of India Dr. Radhakrishnan, goes well recorded in the history of college. This college accommodates 2200 students per year. It has a staff of 231 members. The college has an outstanding Library harboring at least 75,000 books, making it one of the best college libraries. The reading room has 50 periodicals and 10 news papers are subscribed for students in 4 different languages. The college helps and encourages students to participate in publication of college Magazine "Neerajana" with different wall Magazines issued also by students alone. The sports complex of college caters to various sports activities like cricket, foot ball, hockey, basket ball etc. facilities such as golf, yoga, swimming, and shooting can be provided if interested, within the campus. The college has no hostel facility for now. The student's union works effectively and participates in governing of the college. Most popular is NSS which also works in humanitarian fields like teaching slum children, and working with various hospitals. Anti ragging squad is a break through here ragging is an offence and this organization protects the students. There is another such squad known as Anti Sexual Harassment Squad making campus safe for all the students equally.
